What Does Island CAB Offer You?
by Judith Secker
(Anglesey CAB)
The CAB's or Citizens Advice Bureau on Anglesey ensure that local people do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities.
Staff aim to offer friendly, impartial advice about services (provided both by government and others) that are available within Anglesey and how to access them.
This advice is independent, confidential and free.
Unemployment, debt and home repossession are just some of the problems faced by many people on Anglesey every day.
As job insecurity becomes more widespread and wages or benefits fail to cover the cost of living, more and more people are facing difficulties.
The various CAB's on the island help people to tackle their problems head on, with advice, information and practical support.
Anglesey CAB advisers are available by appointment and for drop-in clients in Holyhead, Llangefni, Beaumaris and Amlwch.
Recently, agreement has been reached to also provide services in Menai Bridge.
