TOGYG Helfa Gelf Weekend

A group of artists, who live on Anglesey and in the Bangor area, are threw open their studio doors in Treboth, Bangor, for a weekend of art events, film screenings and amazing ‘happenings’.

The Treborth Old Goods Yard Group (TOGYG) is an established group of contemporary local artists and performers who share a home and a philosophy.

“We are hosting our first ‘International TOGYG Film Screening’, an exhibition of prints, opening our studios to visitors, creating a sculpture burning event, and having ‘happenings’ over the weekend. Come and visit; there will be lots to see and experience,” says Lisa Hudson, drawing, sculpture, mixed media construction, painting and print artist.

The TOGYG artists include Andrew Agace, Jo Alexander, Jaci Atkinson, Richard Houghton, Lisa Hudson, Femke Van Gent and Wanda Zyborska. They are based in an old woodworking workshop, tucked between the main railway line and Treborth Gardens.

“TOGYG comes alive when our performance artists work together to create new work. We hope to showcase this and the group over the weekend,” says Jo Alexander, painting, mixed media assemblage and print artist.
