RWE Npower Wylfa Public Exhibitions

RWE Npower is holding drop-in Public Exhibitions to hear the views of people on Anglesey about Wylfa new nuclear build proposals.
The company already carried out an initial exhibition earlier this year at Cemaes near Wylfa, and the November series of meetings aims to reach out to other communities across the island.
An important part of the whole nuclear build process is that developers as well as government consults with local stakeholders at each stage, so that community hopes and concerns can be properly understood.
RWE Npower, as part of the new Horizon Nuclear Power joint venture with E.ON, has been carrying out some research to help them better understand the the challenges and find the best way forward in preparing their pland and application.
The Scoping Report has now been supplemented by ground testing, which involves looking at the potential ecological, environmental and social impact of development at the Wylfa site.
Taken together these studies will provide the answers to reassure local people as well as forming the basis of the planning application made to the Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC).
Local residents are encouraged to attend one of the scheduled public exhibitions across the island as shown below.
