Manx2.com the Isle of Man company operating flights between Anglesey Airport and Cardiff Airport is understood to have tendered for the 4 year contract on this route.
Having taken over from the previous operator which went into administration, Manx2.com is very upbeat about the future for the airlink between Cardiff and Anglesey, according to Wales Air Network.
It appears passenger feedback is positive and this adds to the possibility that if successful in the current tender, the company would look to increase the number of flights between Anglesey and Cardiff.
Feedback suggests that while there was a slow start ot the service after taking over from the previous operator, the number of passengers using this route is now increasing.
In September Manx2 launched a month long non-subsidised service between the Isle of Man and Anglesey Airport at RAF Valley. At this stage it is not clear if the service will be offered again in 2011 and if so, for how long.
