Joloda Secures FedEx Global Contract

Joloda International, whose design and manufacturing facility is based at Gaerwen on Anglesey, has signed an exclusive three year contract with international logistics company FedEx.

Joloda supplies an international niche market with its patented handling and logistics system for the worldwide distribution sector.

Under this contract the company will design, manufacture and supply FedEx's global operations with roller bed systems for the efficient transfer of containers from their truck and trailers.

The Gaerwen site on Anglesey employs 51 people and it is hoped that this new contract will generate a further 20 jobs over the next 18 months.

To date Joloda has supplied 20 systems to FedEx operations in the USA, Brazil, Hong Kong and Australia.

Joloda has also signed an agreement to design and install a site specific system for Tasnee, the Saudi Arabian petrochemicals company, which includes special trailers and docking facilities.

The company, which has its head office in Liverpool, received promotional support from International Business Wales, an arm of the Welsh Assembly Government, which led to initial contact with Tasnee and FedEx.
