Glan Coron Guest House, Anglesey
Visitors to Anglesey are most welcome at Glan Coron Guest House, a Grade II Listed Building in Llangadwaladr, near Aberffraw.
Within easy distance of some spectacular beaches on the west coast of the island, the nearby Anglesey Circuit for racing cars and the 125 mile long coastal path, Glan Coron Guest House is in an ideal location.
Perhaps you just want to relax in the tranquillity offered by this island location, and spend some time appreciating the magnificent sea views from the nearby coastal path.
And if you are a keen angler or golfer, the guest house being on the A5025 is very convenient for fresh water fishing at Llyn Alaw or for the numerous golf courses dotted around the island.
Glan Coron provides guests with a "home from home" experience, and offers a private sitting and dining room for guests, along with one double bedroom* and a twin bedroom. All the bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities as well as a TV.
The double bedroom has a wash basin and easy access to a bathroom, loo and shower facility. While downstairs there is a cloakroom and another loo.
There is plenty of food which is organic and often locally produced, and most diets can be catered for, including vegetarian and vegan. We welcome children and the family dog, and there is ample, secure parking space in the courtyard.
The guest house also offers storage facilities for golf equipment, surf boards, and fishing tackle.
A 3 course evening meal (approximately £15.00) can be provided on request. Guests are asked to telephone the guest house about a week in advance to discuss their dietary requirements.
A packed lunch can be provided (£4.00 per person) if you plan to be out and about all day, away from the towns, perhaps exploring the Anglesey Coastal Path or fishing at Llyn Alaw.
You can stay at Glan Coron Guest House for £27.50 per person per night, with a single occupancy supplement of £10 per night. Discounted rates are available for stays longer than 3 nights.
How to get there:
Post Code is: LL62 5HY
Please note if you are using a SAT NAV system, first just head for Bethel and then follow directions below (*).
Cross the Britannia Bridge (A55) and continue on this trunk road until you reach the junction sign posted for "Llangefni and Rhostrehwfa". In the slip road stay in the right hand lane and turn right at the roundabout, crossing the A55 below.
You then come to another roundabout and here you take the 2nd left turn signposted "Gwalchmai and Rhostrehwfa" (now you are on the A5).
Drive up this hill until you come to some cottages on the left, Cefn Cymwd, and turn left at the junction signposted Aberffraw. Take this road for about 4 miles until you come to the village of Bethel.
Sat Nav users start here:(*) Just go straight through the village, ignoring the left turn as you leave the village.
A few hundred yards later you will come up to a very sharp 90 degree right hand bend. Almost immediately you must turn left over the bridge and continue until you come to a T-junction.
Glan Coron faces you on this junction. You then turn right and immediately left through the double gates into the courtyard. If you have any problems you should phone Christine on (01407) 840531.
