With the opening of Anglesey Airport at RAF Valley, it is now possible to plan to fly to Malaga from Anglesey. A great opportunity to visit a what is regarded as the Capital of the Costa del Sol.

You can fly to Malaga from Anglesey via Cardiff with Highland Airways and the timetable is here.

There are no weekend or Bank Holiday flights for the time being, but this is under review and there is capacity for up to 10 daily flights from Anglesey.

Doing the whole journey to Malaga in one day would mean catching the 0855 from Anglesey to Cardiff, arriving at 1000.

You would then need to do a quick transfer to catch the bmibaby scheduled flight for Malaga leaving at 1020.

Alternatively, you could leave Anglesey Airport on the 1740 flight on Monday and stay overnight in hotel or guesthouse accommodation in or near Cardiff International Airport.

Then on Tuesday morning a Thomsonfly scheduled flight leaves for Pablo Picasso Malaga International Airport at 0715. There is another flight on Thursdays, leaving at the same time (0715), so a Wednesday evening stop-over in Cardiff would be a possibility.

If you planned on flying over to Malaga at the weekend, you could stay in Cardiff on Friday night, taking the Thomsonfly flight at 0940 on Saturday.

You could book a concert at the Millennium Centre or other venue for Friday evening or Saturday morning, then get the 1805 bmibaby flight to Malaga later the same day.

So now you have the opportunity to step on the Highland Airways plane at Anglesey Airport and step off the bmibaby jet at Malaga, Andalucia, Spain.
